Sugar High Fridays

This month I have volunteered to host the next installment of Sugar High Fridays, created by Jennifer of The Domestic Goddess.  I have previously participated in this event when it was hosted by Liz.  Her theme was sprinkles and I threw those in my Funfetti Pound Cake.

I don't know about you, but when summer comes around, I tend to spend less time in the kitchen and more time eating ice cream outside.  Summer has even found its way to Seattle!  Maybe?

So I decided for this month's theme, we would do a no bake treat!  Let's face it, when the temperatures start rising, the last thing you want to do is crank up your oven.

There are lots of options for this theme.
Ice cream.  The classic no-bake cookie.
Pudding.

A rice krispie treat perhaps?

There are so many possibilities and I can't wait to see what everyone comes up with!

Here's the details:

  • Decide on a recipe that is no-bake.  A lot of these recipes may require the use of a stovetop or microwave, that is completely fine, just use something where you don't have to actually turn on your oven.
  • Email me your recipe by Monday, July 25th and I will post the recipe round-up by Friday, July 29th.  My email is alpear@hotmail.com
    • Please include your name and blog name (if you have one)
    • If you are just going to put your recipe on your blog, you can send me the direct link.
    • Include a picture of your treat.
    • Give me a little info about you!  Where you live, info about your blog, a brief summary of your entry.
    • If you do not have a blog, but would like to participate, let me know and we can figure something out!
    • Any questions? Write me!
I can't wait to see everyone's submissions.  I'm looking for some new recipes, so this should be fun!

  5. I love a no bake treat. Although I am not quite convinced summer has hit Seattle. The grey humid days and rain is killing me but I suppose it's better than the sweltering heat everywhere else. :)
