Peanut Butter Cheerios Treats

Cereal is one of my absolute favorite foods.  Combine cereal with one of my other favorite foods, peanut butter, and I'm a very, very happy girl.
Peanut Butter Cheerios!  Yes, I love classic Cheerios, but the addition of peanut butter is pretty awesome.
But how to make it even better??
Yes, pour chocolate on top. This most likely makes everything better.  This was a super easy, no-bake treat, ready in minutes.  But, in all honesty, nothing compares to the classic Rice Krispie Treat. The Cheerios taste a little different because of their size ad texture, but the classic chocolate and peanut butter flavor can't be beat!  While eating these I kept thinking I needed a glass of milk.
Peanut Butter Cheerios Treats
5 cups Peanut Butter Cheerios
3 Tbsp butter
1 16 ounce bag marshmallows
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter plus 2 Tbsp
2 cups chocolate chips
Spray 9x13 baking dish with cooking spray and set aside.
Melt butter in saucepan over medium heat.  Add marshmallows, stirring constantly until melted.  Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 cup peanut butter.  Once combined, add cheerios and mix until completely coated. Spread evenly in your prepared dish.
For chocolate topping:
Melt 2 cups chocolate chips and remaining 2 tablespoons peanut butter in the microwave for about a minute and a half.  Stir till combined and pour over the top of Cheerios.  Allow to cool for at least 30 minutes.
If you're a peanut butter lover, you have to go out and try these Peanut Butter Cheerios. They are delish!  Maybe you'll even think of a creative way to use them in a treat!
What's your favorite cereal?
